We have released Auto PeakTrace 6 RP 6.12. This is mostly a bug fix release, but it does contain one significant improvement – bubble spike correction. Bubble spikes are sharp spikes in the raw data channel caused by small air bubbles in the polymer. As the gas bubble passes by the detection zone they cause the laser light to refract onto the detector causing a sharp spike in the raw channel. While really a production issue that should be fixed in the lab, it is possible to (partially) correct the problem in software. This improvement has been incorporated into Auto PeakTrace 6 RP 6.12 and will also be in the next release of Auto PeakTrace 6. The change list is:
- New Feature. Bubble spike removal.
- Fixed a bug preventing a minus value being manually entered for good base improvement.
- Other bug fixes.
