The Molecular Biology Core Facility at the James H. Quillen College of Medicine is dedicated to research and educational needs of East Tennessee State University and the surrounding community. The facility offers DNA sequencing, phosphorimaging, microcapillary electrophoresis (Agilent) and real-time PCR technologies.

Specialized services such as primer design for PCR as well as sequencing primers are available. Large template (YAC, BAC, etc.) sequencing is available at an increased cost. The facility provides assistance in interpreting sequence results. The Core Facility also serves as a storeroom for several vendors.
